The ‘Radioactively Contaminated Land Exposure Assessment’ methodology (RCLEA) is Defra's recommended approach for the first stage of a tiered approach to screening radioactively contaminated land under the extension of the Part 2A regime. It applies to long-term radiation exposure situations that may require remedial action to reduce or avert individual doses (‘intervention’ situations).
RCLEA.info is Defra’s resource for users of the methodology. It allows users to post comments about problems and potential improvements in the methodology and associated software, and look at suggestions others have made. It informs users of developments, and also provides links to the suite of RCLEA documents and software.
